Lake Bled, located in Slovenia, is a spectacular place for travelers of all types to enjoy. When I visited Bled, waaaay back in summer 2015, I didn’t want to leave even though I had plenty other cool destinations planned for the upcoming weeks. Can you blame me, though? Bled is a place to go when you want to feel rejuvenated about life again. The natural beauty consumes and relaxes you at the same time.
On my last day, I stood on the shore of the lake and watched carefree canoes approach the iconic Pilgrimage Church of the Assumption of Mary. The mountain air caressed my cheeks and hair, and swans lazily floated only a few feet away, their white feathers beautifully contrasting against the lake’s aqua color. At the time, my career was completely up in the air. I had no idea if I wanted to continue teaching or not, considering my last teaching position had been cut due to budget restraints.
However, despite my crazy life, I felt completely at ease and wondered if I could ever canoe in a straight line. Yes, Lake Bled can bring you total peace as soon as you let your senses take over.
In this post, I’ve attached twenty of my best Lake Bled images for your viewing pleasure. Additionally, I’ve included some images taken in the surrounding areas, which includes Triglav National Park and Julian Alps and Soca River.
